“We have been working with the Inprocess team for over 13 years now. During this time, several dynamic simulation relief studies have been completed to evaluate the limitations in our relief system as the operating facility has grown. With the use of dynamic simulation and data matching plant behavior, we have been successful in implementing mitigations to address unit limitations as an alternative to major debottlenecking of the flare system. The knowledge and expertise of the Inprocess team has been outstanding. We look forward to continuing with the next phase of our project and would like to congratulate the entire Inprocess team on their 20th Anniversary!”

“Many congratulations for your 20th anniversary, guys at Inprocess! We started collaborating in 2012 when I learned from you how to model refinery columns in dynamics in an effective way, expanding later our relationship to several PSV revalidation projects… I have been always amazed by the professionalism of your engineers, no matter which one, always trying to satisfy customer needs, even if those go beyond what initially planned. I know it is not only we at Castellón that are satisfied, but other bp refineries in Europe are also satisfied with your process simulation skills and your willingness to share and transfer your knowledge. Keep on going like this for another 20 years!!!”

“Dear Inprocess Team, congratulations on your 20th anniversary! We’ve been working together since 2009, and over the years a relationship built on trust has developed—also on a personal level. Throughout this time, Inprocess has supported us with process simulations jobs for both internal projects and customer orders. They have also developed simulation models and user interfaces for our core applications as a compressor manufacturer, especially for startup and trip scenarios in closed-loop systems. Their strong expertise in process simulation has consistently impressed us and helped resolve complex issues with our customers. This success has even led our US sister companies to work with Inprocess as well. We’re looking forward to the next 20 years of great collaboration!”

Kari Berte ByeManager, Operation Analyticsat Yinson Production
“Since our first Operator Training Simulator (OTS) system was delivered for FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor (JAK) in 2017, Inprocess has supported Yinson Production in various engineering studies and the deliveries of four more OTSs. Yinson Production is following a lifecycle modelling approach from process design and unit control validation, system integration and control narrative verification through procedure verification and ICSS integration before moving into operator training. Inprocess has, through their extensive knowledge and expertise in simulations, given Yinson Production a highly valuated support through more than 10 years of collaboration. Congratulations with your 20th Anniversary and looking forward to your continued support!”
Along its history, Inprocess has been very active in one of its foundational pillars:
Knowledge Transfer and Dissemination. This is why we have been publishing articles in
technical magazines, and we have been participating in congresses and events.
All the contributions we have prepared with that purpose are available for download in the
Knowledge Hub section
of our corporate website.

A future driven by simulation and digitalization
Simulation and Digitalization: supporting a cleaner, safer, and more profitable energy future
The energy industry is changing fast. Around the world, companies are being asked to reduce emissions, improve efficiency, increase safety and remain competitive at the same time. At Inprocess, we believe simulation and digitalization will be essential tools to make this transition possible.
For twenty years, process simulation has been at the heart of what we do. What began as a powerful engineering tool has become much more: a way to connect design, operations, training and decision-making. When models are rigorous, validated and close to plant reality, they help teams understand complex processes, compare alternatives and reduce uncertainty before critical decisions are made.
This will become even more important in the years ahead. Process digital twins will help industrial facilities move from occasional studies to continuous insight, linking simulation models with plant data to support better operational decisions. Operator Training Simulators will continue to prepare teams for startups, shutdowns, emergencies and abnormal situations, helping operators build experience and confidence before facing those scenarios in real life.
We also see a growing role for hybrid modelling, where first-principles process knowledge is combined with AI-based routines. These approaches can make models faster, more adaptive and more useful for real-time applications, while keeping the engineering foundation that gives simulation its credibility. For us, AI is not a replacement for process expertise; it is a way to extend it and make it more accessible.
As part of the Quadrante Group, Inprocess enters this future with greater strength, broader capabilities and a wider international reach. Together, we share a vision where engineering, digitalization and sustainability work side by side to help clients face the challenges of the energy transition.
At Inprocess, our ambition is clear: to help our clients operate safer, cleaner and better prepared industrial facilities, without losing sight of performance and profitability. The future of digitalization is not only about technology. It is about giving people the tools, knowledge and confidence they need to understand their processes, anticipate challenges and make better decisions for a greener and still competitive world.
The future we envision is one where process simulation helps people make better decisions for their plants, their businesses, and the world around them. As the energy transition accelerates, Inprocess will continue supporting clients with the knowledge, models, and digital tools they need to operate cleaner, safer and more efficiently. Together with Quadrante, and building on our experience in process digital twins, OTS, hybrid modelling, and AI-supported approaches, we want to help transform complex industrial challenges into confident decisions, contributing to a greener future that remains technically sound, operationally reliable, and economically sustainable.
