Insightful Presentations on Relief Flare Analysis and Digital Twins Spark Interest at the 15th Mediterranean Congress on Chemical Engineering

Barcelona, June 2, 2023 – The 15th Mediterranean Congress on Chemical Engineering (MECCE) (https://www.mecce.org/ ) concluded with great success on June 2nd. The four-day event, held from May 30th to June 2nd, provided an exceptional platform for industry professionals to network and engage in discussions on topics such as digitalization, energy efficiency, and decarbonization.

MECCE attracted a highly interested crowd of professionals and researchers who actively participated in insightful conversations and knowledge exchange. The congress included sessions presented by Inprocess process simulation experts.

During his keynote lecture on “Relief Flare Analysis using a Dynamic Simulation Model of your Plant,” Dr. Miquel Angel Alos provided valuable insights into the effective utilization of dynamic simulation models for analyzing relief flares and offered valuable strategies to improve both plant safety and operational efficiency.

In his presentation on “Digital Twins for Emission Control in the Process Industry,” Eduardo Iraola shed light on the implementation of digital twin technologies to address emission control challenges. He emphasized that inventory and emissions monitoring is becoming increasingly important to achieve economic optimization and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the process industry.
