Inprocess Presence at Aspen Tech Optimize 2024

Inprocess participated to AspenTech Users Group Meeting “Optimize 2024” that too place between April 29th and May 2nd in Houston (TX), USA.

Our team of senior directors and simulation experts, including Oriol Millan, José María Nougués, Jose Maria Ferrer, Josep-Anton Feliu, Michael Brodkorb, Daniel Martínez, Leonardo Carpio, Landon Melcher and Hanneliese Freites have participated to the event to meet with existing or potential clients, sharing their insights in order to help them to address any design or operational challenges that can be solved by process simulation.

Additionally, in partnership with some of our clients, we have participated in the technical sessions contributing on various subjects aimed at improving operational excellence and daily processes through dynamic process simulation.

Here is the list of contributions:

  • “Application of Process Simulation in Gas Pipeline Management for Inventory Evaluation”, featuring our work with 3R Petroleum, presented as oral contribution by José María Nougués.

  • “Leveraging Aspen HYSYS Simulation to Develop Confident and Capable Operators”, a case study with Ascensus Specialties, presented as oral contribution by Landon Melcher.

  • “Optimize the tuning of PID controllers in slugging conditions with HYSYS Dynamics”, insights from our collaboration with Repsol Norge, presented as oral contribution by Hanneliese Freites.

  • “Using Aspen HYSYS Simulation to Develop Rigorous OTS for Operator skills enhancement”, in collaboration with Braskem, defended as a poster by Daniel Martinez.

Our contributions raised a lot of interest, and on top of that, we had the opportunity to connect with many insightful individuals from different energy companies. Visit our Knowledge Hub page (www.inprocessgroup.com/knowledge-hub) in order to download Inprocess’ contributions to the event.

After all, it was a fruitful and very well-organized engaging experience, filled with valuable discussions, innovative ideas, and lots of personal interactions.

The Inprocess Team is looking forward to the next opportunity to engage with this inspiring community of process simulation users and developers!
