Development of two new OTS for the CCR and CDU refinery units, and upgrading of the existing OTSs for the FCC and the MHC units

Description:

Development of two new Operator Training Simulators, as well as the upgrading and modernization of two existing simulators that have become obsolete.
Inprocess developed a completely new direct-connect OTS for the ‘Old Topping Complex (CDU + Naphtha Stabilizer)’. It also built a new direct-connect OTS for their Reformer Unit. As part of the same project, Inprocess was responsible for the updating and upgrading of two existing simulation systems for the FCC and Mild Hydrocracker complexes in order to reflect current real plant conditions.

Support to integrate a Dynamic Simulation model with an APC Controller for a Reformate Splitter

Description:

The intention of Inproces's client was to integrate an in-house developed routine to specifically address non-linearity issues around quality control for binary columns with MVPC technology. Before moving on to testing this integration on the real plant, the client wanted to validate the solution through a simulation representing a reasonable process response, making sure that the simulated system exhibited a process behaviour more realistic than just simple linear behaviour.

Operator Training Systems for two Swedish Refinery Units and upgrading of an obsolete existing OTS

Description:

The Client had an OTS installed for the FCC unit and was interested in extending the OTS capability to two additional units: ICR and HPU units. The client requested a new OTS which would be directly connected to the DCS emulator software: DeltaV SimulatePro. In addition, the upgrade of the instructor functionality of the existing OTS for the FCC unit with the Inprocess Instructor Station was also part of the scope of the project.
