| Inprocess Training for Operators (ITOP) |
| Today, one of the most critical concerns in the process industry is to maintain and improve the know-how required to safely and efficiently operate the process plants. Inprocess has extended existing training concepts by developing an innovative program combining class-room training and PC-based exercises. By doing this, Inprocess has generated synergies that bring to the operator, chemical and process engineering concepts applicable to any plant, while learning the principles of all unit operations, and without needing access to a complex and costly plant training environment. |

| The ITOP Concept - Summary |
- Multi-day training programme for operators to refresh process and chemical engineering basics with embedded PC-based hands-on exercises
- The model-based practical exercises are representative of unit operations at the user’s site and allow an understanding of the underlying process technology (pump, air cooler, compressor, absorption column, etc.)
- Aligned with company training targets to standardize on operational best practice
- Exercises are performed to increase the motivation of the attendees, and therefore also to increase the learning effectiveness
- Definition of learning objectives can be easily adjusted to existing training programmes
- ITOP is not intended to replace the OTS concept, but instead to support effective training of operators, where OTS cannot be applied efficiently.
